Paragon II ZCIMs (P2ZCIM)

These New Raritan P2ZCIMs are designed to be used with Paragon II
Can be used with Paragon I HW3 (running Paragon II code)

Employ’s a one user daisy chain switching solution
Interface support for:

PS2 (P2ZCIM-PS2)
SUN (P2ZCIM-SUN)
USB (P2ZCIM-USB)
Longer cables - “L” models cables for use in server racks with a cable management arm
Configurable – The chain size can be set and multi-platform CIMs can be used

Supports up to 42 ZCIMs in any mixed arrangement (Version available for PS2, SUN and USB) on a Cat5 chain.
Up to 1,000 ft. from the UMT to the last P2ZCIM on a Cat5 chain.
Cannot mix chain with UKVMSPD (Paragon I version ZCIMs).

Control up to 42 servers and crewate an easy-to-manage server-to-server cable. It is designed to support the most challenging demands of server management where space is at a premium or where systems to be accessed are up to 1,000 feet away via Category 5 UTP cable.

Simplified installation and operation

Paragon II Z-CIMS greatly enhance the server connection capability of a Paragon II switch with an innovative chain-like server-to-server arrangement, significantly reducing cable clutter. Small Computer Interface Modules (Z-CIMs) connected to the keyboard, video, and mouse ports of each server are linked with standard Category 5 UTP cable and transmit the keyboard, video, and mouse signals to a Paragon II UMT Switch Unit.
Since Z-series components are plug and play, servers can be added at any time with no interruption of server operation.

Made to work with Paragon 2 simply connect the first Z-CIM in the chain directly to Raritan's Paragon with a single Category 5 UTP cable.

Performance – P2ZCIMs recommendations with various chain lengths
For Paragon II UMTs and Paragon I UMT242, 442, 832 and 1664, hardware III with Paragon II firmware:

P2ZCIM chain lengths up to 20, at least 1 P2ZCIM must be powered on.
Up to 42 P2ZCIMs on a chain, at least 15 P2ZCIM chains must be powered on to maintain communication.
