Raritan DKX 432

Description:
Please see the new version Part No. DKX2-432 as this original model has now been up superseded.

Raritan DKX432 ( Dominion KX432 ) 4 x IP user, 1 Local user Digital KVM 32 port KVM switch with access over IP +128 Bit SSL

Provides four remote users and one local user BIOS level access and control of up to 32 servers or devices. The KX432 provides multi-user access at a very competitive price per port for a 4-channel KVM switch. It is targeted at customers needing simultaneous remote access to one or more racks of critical servers. Its concurrent user capability helps increase productivity and minimizes blocking.

Raritan pioneered the 32 port KVM-over-IP switch, which reduces the number of KVM switches required, lowers costs, installation time, and maintenance effort.

The KX432 supports a single, dense rack that reduces cabling and simplifies installation. It can also support two or more racks by leveraging its 150 foot distance capacity between the switch and target server.
Dominion® KX consists of two main components: the digital KVM switch and Computer Interface Modules (CIMs).

The switch connects to each CIM to provide KVM-over-IP capability for remote access along with simultaneous local access for controlling servers at the rack.
Each CIM connects to the KVM ports of an individual server and converts the video signal for transmission up to 150 feet over UTP (Cat5/5e/6) cabling. The CIMs also deliver Raritans patented "keep-alive" keyboard/mouse emulation.
Raritan's client software is automatically downloaded via browser; Stand-alone versions of client software can be pre-installed for modem access.

Features:
Large server capacity Hardware Feature

Highest port density
Raritan is the first and only vendor to provide such large units this model is 32 port but a 64-port model digital KVM switch is available in the range.

Advanced Video Resolution Detection
Allows automatic, accurate, and fast transitions to different video sources when a user switches between servers.

Connectivity Features

Multiple Concurrent Remote IP Users
Provides KVM over IP access to 1, 2, or 4 simultaneous, remote users while allowing full, unblocked local port access.

Supports up to 64 Server Ports
Users can connect 16, 32 or 64 servers to each Dominion KX via Cat5 cabling. Raritan is the first to market with a 64 port digital KVM switch.

Industry’s Highest Port Density
Dominion KX464 has the highest port density of any digital KVM switch in the industry. It provides KVM over IP access for up to 64 servers, spanning two to four racks. Its 2U enclosure, dual Ethernet ports, dual power supplies with automatic failover, and SNMP management delivers an enterprise level solution that can consolidate standard KVM switches for reduced cost and administration.

Remote Network Access / KVM Over IP
Utilizes Raritan's award-winning IP-Reach video compression circuitry to allow users access from anywhere on the network (LAN, WAN, Internet, dial-up), to troubleshoot, reconfigure, reboot and even power cycle servers remotely.

Dual Power with Failover (KX464)
Increased reliability and redundancy via dual AC inputs, dual power supplies and automatic failover for redundant power distribution used in enterprise data centers. Should a power input or power supply fail, an SNMP trap can be generated.

Client Access and Control

Anytime, Anywhere, Anyhow KVM Client Access
Enables universal KVM access through the industry's broadest and most flexible OS platform, multiple hardware platforms, and leading browsers with no client license fees or cumbersome software licensing.

Multi-Platform Access and Control
In addition to Raritan’s Remote Client (RRC) for Windows, the Java- based Multi-Platform Client (MPC) supports Linux, Sun/Solaris and Mac users.

Virtual Desktop
Provides connectivity to target servers that is virtually indistinguishable from a direct connection. The Virtual Desktop is based on the following Raritan innovations: Full Screen Video, Transparent Keyboard Handling, Mouse Synchronization, Flexible Video Scaling and Fast Video Switching.

Flexible Video Scaling
Users are no longer restricted to a fixed-size screen. They can simply drag the video window border to the desired size or display thumbnail views.

Transparent Keyboard Handling
Obviates most keyboard macros and allows users to directly interact with the target server with a higher level of connectivity. Virtually all user keystrokes are sent directly to the target server without going thru the desktop client.

Software Features

Quick and Easy Setup
A completely self-contained system (i.e. an appliance). All features, including authentication and Web access are built into the unit and do not require any additional hardware or software.

Security Features

128-bit SSL Encryption
Dominion KX incorporates an extremely high level of data security to ensure that customer server environments are protected from malicious hackers.

Video Encryption
In addition to encryption of keyboard and mouse data, Dominion KX also securely encrypts the video stream.

RADIUS, LDAP and Active Directory® Authentication
Integrates with industry-standard directory servers using either the LDAP or RADIUS protocols, to enable use of pre-existing username and password databases for security.

Management Features

Remote Management and Administration
Administrators can perform all management, administration and configuration operations using a simple graphical user interface, from the convenience of their desktop.

CommandCenter® Integration
Supports complete integration with Raritan's CommandCenter Secure-Gateway, allowing enterprise users to consolidate all Dominion devices into a single logical system that is accessible from a single IP address, under a single management interface. The Dominion KX also integrates with Raritan's new CommandCenter NOC service management appliances.

SNMP Management
Distributes SNMP traps for important system events to SNMP management systems, including the new CommandCenter NOC service management appliances. SNMP traps are fully configurable by the administrator.
