The eRIC G4 is a KVM-over-IP PCI card that provides remote, unblocked, BIOS-level access and control to any server. Accessible from any Web browser, eRIC G4 provides anytime, anywhere KVM access with maximum security, stability and speed.

eRIC G4 combines all the performance and security features of Raritan's industry-leading access-and-control technology into a low-profile PCI card for PC, Sun® and Mac® platforms. It includes Raritan's dual-channel Virtual Media technology, which enables exchange and installation of files and other media between a server and remote user over a KVM port.

eRIC G4 requires no client software so it can be accessed from any popular Web browser and most major operating systems. eRIC G4 also provides emergency access via a modem to the BIOS level of mission-critical servers, even when the network is unavailable

Multiplatform Support
Compatible with different types of platforms (PC, Sun®, Mac®), and server form factors 1U and 2U).

IPMI Support
Supports IPMI 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 over IPMB and LAN and communicates with BMC to generate all needed hardware information remotely.

Remote Console

Access via Web Browser with Java™ VM
Easy access to target from any Java-enabled Web browser, such as Firefox®, Internet Explorer and Safari

Remote Management
Remote administrators can perform all management and configuration changes to servers from the convenience of their desktops.

Virtual Media
Dual-channel Virtual Media allows a remote user to transfer installation files and other media to and from a target machine over KVM ports. Virtual Media support, via USB mass storage, includes floppy, CD-ROM, DVD and hard drive redirection.

Double Virtual Media
Two devices can send or receive media at the same time, useful for special applications like boot-up.

Power Management

Reset/Power using Reset/Power Wires
The remote server can be powered on, powered off or reset over IP. Please contact your Raritan sales representative to find out if you need additional adaptors for the Reset/Power solution.

Power using ATX Power Cable Adapter
eRIC G4 does not require external power supply. It powers directly from the server or PC. However, an optional power adapter is available.

IP Auto Configuration with DHCP, BOOTP
Easy set-up and administration.

Serial Port
Users can connect a modem, log in and control the server via Telnet and SSH instead of using a Web browser.
